Collection of general information when visiting our website

When you access our website, certain general information is automatically collected using cookies. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar data. This information cannot be used to draw conclusions about your person.

This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver website content requested by you and is inevitably generated when using the internet. It is processed in particular for the following purposes:

• ensuring a smooth connection to the website

• ensuring comfortable use of our website

• evaluating system security and stability

• other administrative purposes

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in the aforementioned purposes of data collection. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. Recipients of the data are only the controller and, where applicable, processors.

We may statistically evaluate anonymous information of this kind to optimise our website and the underlying technology.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies can help us facilitate navigation and enable correct display of our web pages.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

You can generally view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies. You can generally disable the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use your browser’s help functions to learn how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you disable cookies.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods in line with the current state of the art (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Facebook social plug-in

We integrate plug-ins of the social network Facebook (address: 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) on our websites. You can recognise the plug-ins – an overview is available here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/Plug-ins/ – by the Like button or the Facebook logo.

When you visit one of our pages with a Facebook plug-in, a direct connection to Facebook is established. We have no influence on the type and scope of data collected, stored and processed by Facebook. We can only inform you according to our current knowledge.

Facebook is informed via the plug-in that you have visited the corresponding page of our offering. This also applies to users who are not registered with Facebook. In that case, Facebook may store the IP address.

If you are a Facebook member and logged in, visiting a page with a Facebook plug-in can be clearly assigned to your Facebook user account. The plug-ins also transmit all interactions, for example when you use the Like button or leave a comment.

To prevent Facebook from storing data about you, please log out of Facebook before visiting our websites. You can also block the plug-ins using browser add-ons (e.g. “Facebook Blocker”).

Information on Facebook’s privacy policy, the purpose and scope of data collection and processing, and privacy settings is available here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php

It is used to assign and respond to your enquiry. Providing further data is optional. The information you provide is stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and any follow-up questions. After your enquiry has been dealt with, personal data is automatically deleted.

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits to us. These are:

• browser type and version

• operating system used

• referrer URL

• hostname of the accessing computer

• time of the server request

• IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, which permits processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Consent management via Cookiebot

On our website we use the consent management service "Cookiebot" provided by Cybot A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark, to inform you about the cookies and comparable technologies used on our site and to obtain, manage and document your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
